Time: Sat. 8AM – 6PM | Sun. 8AM – 4PM

Speakers bureau training

As an organization, AFFCF gets invited to a lot of different places to speak about what we do. So we ask volunteers statewide to help. We’ll train you and provide you with materials and support and then we’ll work within your schedule to arrange times for you to speak on our behalf.

Time: 5:30 – 7:00PM
Location: 360 E Coronado Rd, Ste 190, Phoenix 85004

If you’d to join our speakers bureau or just learn more about what it entails, please RSVP to Kim Searles at 602.252.9445 or

Slider Throwdown

As our signature event, the Slider Throwdown brings together some of the Valley’s best food trucks for a friendly competition. The Slider Throwdown happens each November and includes live entertainment, children’s activities and a silent auction.

This family-friendly event usually takes place on a Sunday afternoon and gives event-goers a great head start to the holiday shopping season. Details for the 2020 Slider Throwdown are still in the works. If you own or manage a business and are interested in either sponsoring the event or donating an item to the silent auction, please contact our outreach coordinator, Kim Searles at

“Thank you for the award to play baseball. I have learned how to bat and catch. I have learned how to play as a team. I have had so much fun. Someday I hope to be a baseball player!”
